32 years
Can Alzheimer's start as early as the age of 32 for an active male? And is it hereditary?
Jun 18, 2014

Dr. Salim Saab Otolaryngology (ENT)
Usually, it starts after 65 years. It is very rare at the age of 32. There is a familial predisposition and there is a genetic factor, the apolipoproteine: apoe gene chromosome21 is rarely also down syndrome (trisomie 21 mutation) in presenilin chromosome 14.
