Burning sensation on my latissimus muscle (left side) it comes and goes gradually and it's not that painful. I workout 5-6 days a week and beside free weights I run 60-70 minutes.Apr 16, 2013

Burning sensations usually comes from localized muscle or nerve inflammation and in most cases it is not severe. It usually occurs in association with excessive stress or viral illness. You should try to relax and if needed take some anti-inflammatory medications if no contraindication.
