Are there any new treatments for a stage IIIC (Dukes' C collateral cancer) in the sigmoid colon that have less side-effects yet as effective as 5-Fluorouracil with leucovorin? What are my options?

this is the old treatment , for preventive treatment you should get the FOLFOX 4 protocol. adding to the 5FU and leucovorin : the oxaliplatin.
other options is to take Capecitabine (oral 5FU) replacing, the 5FU and Leucovorin, for 14 days, but you still have to take Intravenous Oxaliplatine in the hopsital. Personally, I dont like the capecitabine, as it is 14 days treatment, and has side effects , and the compliance is not good (not sure what the patient is taking at home)
