He may very be teething with the gums swollen and whitish, although a transient viral illness cannot be ruled out especially with the gasiness. Another possibility is that he does not like the fruits and cereals you are offering (unless you mean to say he used to eat them and now he stopped) so you may want to try something different. For the time being, you need to monitor his temperature closely and make sure he remains well hydrated by giving him oral rehydration solution in between meals (Babylyte, about 100 mL). Should he continue to refuse food or develop signs of dehydration (decrease in the number of wet diapers) or becomes sleepier than usual or continuously fussy, or develops additional symptoms like diarrhea or vomiting or else, you should have him seen by his pediatrician.
